Today was a great day on the river. Hoping that the weather holds out for a "Blue Moon" night kayak on the Ohio River on Friday night. We're expecting some backfall from Hurricane Isaac but the bad weather shouldn't hit until after 11 pm. With the moonrise at about 7:30 pm, we should have ample time to enjoy....
The modern meaning of "Blue Moon" is the second full moon in a calendar month. This definition has evolved over time, but the folklore of the rarity of the event is real...Still watchin' the barges crawl by the house....
