One of the unique and cool elements of living near a large body of water is the FOG. Today started out with a thick fog that appeared to ground much of the riverboat traffic to a halt. Ghostly lights shone through the fog and the hum of idling engines could be heard up and down the river. Here is a picture of an idling tug through the murky fog
The bottom picture was taken first and the top picture about 15 minutes later. It looks like a movie set with the fog hanging on the river and is always fun to kayak in (although safety dictates staying close to shore....) The front porch view of the river always changes
